This past weekend, I attended the 30th Anniversary conference of the Women’s Ministry of The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York. Rev. Dr. Elaine M. Flake is the Co-Pastor of the Church and the head of the Women’s Ministry. The conference theme was “Powered Up!” and based on 2 Timothy 1:7.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am not a member of The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York. I am not nor have I ever been a member of an A.M.E. church. I was excited to attend this women’s conference because I attended in 2007 (“Ever Increasing Glory”) and 2009 (“Dwelling in the Overflow”). I knew that in 2013, I would hear another wonderful word from God. I traveled to Stamford, Connecticut with a sense of anticipation. I was on the Amtrak train with a sense of urgency. I needed to hear a word from the Lord. I was not disappointed. I am still basking in the glow of being in the presence of the Lord.
If you follow the blog on Twitter or Facebook, over the weekend, you saw the pictures and read my live reactions to what I was receiving. I was truly blessed by attending this conference. I cannot say it enough. I had a fantastic weekend! The revelations are too much to include in this post. Suffice it to say, I will make every effort to attend this women’s conference in 2014. I am sure that God will meet me there again.
